Secretary-General & General Assembly President: Alan Walls is an international basketball coach and administrator with 28 years of experience on the youth, high school, NCAA, professional and national team levels in 17 countries on five continents. Walls is the current head coach of the Malta men's national team and led them to a silver medal at the 2022 FIBA European Championships for Small Countries. Walls has also worked with the national federations of Turkey, Romania, Palestine, Mongolia and El Salvador as well as coached or conducted camps and clinics throughout the United States – including his native Hawaii – Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, China, Hong Kong, Kenya and Israel. In 2010 Walls was tasked by the Turkish Basketball Federation to be the camp director of the FIBA Children of the World Basketball Camp at the FIBA World Championships. Walls is a former US Peace Corps Volunteer, El Salvador 1999-01, where one of his main projects was a national youth leadership and sports camp program. Walls is a resident of El Salvador currently living and working in Guatemala as an international school Athletic Director.

In 2016 Showalter was hired as the Coach Director in the USA Basketball Youth and Sport Development division. A high school coach for 42 years in Iowa, Showalter led the 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017 USA men’s U16 national teams to gold medals at the FIBA Americas Championships, as well as top finishes at the 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 FIBA U17 World Cups. Showalter serves on the board of the FIBA World Association of Basketball Coaches and is co-owner of the world-famous Snow Valley Basketball Camp in Iowa.

Awartani currently is the Executive General Manager of Palestine Sports for Life, an organization she founded in 2011, and a researcher and writer for Sports for Development. In 2010 Awartani was selected by the Palestinian Basketball Federation to be a coach at the FIBA Children of the World basketball camp at the FIBA World Championships in Turkey. Awartani has a MBA from the University of Jordan, a postgraduate degree in Sports Management from the University of London and a PhD in Sports for Development from the German Sports University (Deutsche Sporthochschule-Köln).

Basketball Humanitarian Aid Council: Mothusi Thipe is extensively involved in basketball on the African continent having served the last 10 years as the Technical Director of the Botswana Basketball Association and on the FIBA Africa Zone VI competitions council. Thipe is also a confederation member in charge of basketball in the Africa Union Sports Council Region 5. Thipe is a 10-year veteran of the Botswana national team and also played two years in the German second division. Thipe has 16 years of coaching experience having coached such teams as the Botswana U20 men’s national team and at the University of Botswana. Thipe participated NBA Basketball Without Borders and FIBA Children of the World camps and was the technical adviser of the Giants of Africa camp conducted by Masai Ujiri and the Toronto Raptors in Botswana. Thipe is a graduate of the University of Leipzig’s (Germany) Sports and Science program with a major in basketball.

Communications Secretary: Jose Colorado is a five-year professional basketball player, coach and journalist. The former Quest University star and dual citizen (Canadian-Salvadoran) has played in El Salvador, Canada and Brazil and is a 4-time national scoring champion and two-time national three-point champion in the Salvadoran professional league (LMB). Colorado has coached at multiple youth clubs in China including the prestigious international “Peak No Borders Camp.” Colorado’s second passion is storytelling and that has led to him to writing for some of Canada’s largest newspaper publications including The National Post and The Province. Colorado is also a content writer for the National Basketball League of Canada.

Han currently serves as an assistant coach with the Guam Basketball Confederation and its men's national team. In 2010 Han was selected by the Guam Basketball Confederation to represent Guam as a coach at the FIBA Children of the World basketball camp at the FIBA World Championships in Turkey. Han is a high school teacher with the Guam Department of Education and also serves as a youth and high school basketball referee.

Mazurs was a coach at the 2010 FIBA Children of the World basketball camp in Turkey. Mazurs has a bachelor’s degree from the Latvian Academy of Sports Education.

Aksoyak is a 19-year sport sciences lecturer at Erciyes University and coach of the university’s 5x5 and 3x3 men’s teams. In 2010 Aksoyak was a city coordinator at the FIBA World Championships in Turkey. Aksoyak has participated in many international basketball camps in Turkey as both coach and English interpreter.

Since 1998 Camacho has served as the Athletic Director at St. John’s School overseeing all aspects of the school’s competitive sports programs. Camacho is a Puerto Rican Basketball Federation certified coach and has 14 years of experience as a club basketball director, assistant coach and head coach with various teams in the National Superior Basketball league, one of the top leagues in all the Americas. Camacho has also worked with the Puerto Rican national teams in various capacities. Camacho has attended camps at Syracuse and Duke and has been invited to attend preseason training sessions of the Orlando Magic.

The 18 year-old 6-foot-8 combo guard is a freshman at the University of Dayton (NCAA DI) on a basketball scholarship. He played his senior year of high school ball (21-22) at UNB member (USA-Midwest Region)
Youth Representative: Up and coming Asian superstar Mike Sharavjamts from Ulaanbaatar represents the future of Mongolian basketball. The 18 year-old 6-foot-8 combo guard is a freshman at the University of Dayton (NCAA DI) on a basketball scholarship. He played his senior year of high school ball (21-22) at UNB member (USA-Midwest Region) International Sports Academy, OH. His sophomore year he played for Prolific Prep (CA) where he was teammates with #2 NBA draft pick Jalen Green. Sharavjamts had a breakout performance at the 2019 FIBA U18 3x3 World Cup that took place in his homeland where he led his team to a sixth place finish out of 20 countries. Sharavjamts paced Mongolia to a 3-2 record with wins over Latvia, Belarus and Georgia while pushing 2nd place Turkey to the limit in the quarterfinals. Sharavjamts finished 8th in scoring out of 80 players. Sharavjamts has dual-citizenship having been born in the US and is the youngest son of 7-foot tall Mongolian basketball legend and former Harlem Globetrotter Sharavjamts “Shark” Tserenjankhar
