Peace. Development. Basketball.
The UNB Coaches Without Borders (CWB) program is an innovative program for national basketball federations and clubs/academies looking to bring in experienced American coaches to coach and consult with their programs on either short-term or long-term arrangements.
It is modeled after the US Peace Corps, but with a focus on basketball.
UNB CWB coaches are screened and selected by the UNB for overseas service.
Partner federations/clubs/academies are required to cover all the costs of the coach's travel to the country and their return, as well as housing, meals and internal transportation. They must also provide medical coverage.
Depending on the needs of each country, the CWB coaches may:
- conduct development camps & clinics for players
- run coaching development programs
- coach national teams
- provide consulting on program development
- host coaches from their host-nation in the US on exchange programs upon their return to the US
If you are a federation, club or academy looking to bring in a qualified American coach, or you are an American coach looking to coach/serve internationally contact us via email at: info@unbasketball.org.
